My favourite day

My favourite day is Sunday, because nobody works on Sunday, and it is usually a happy day.

I never get up late on a Sunday. I usually have a big breakfast (fruit, eggs and cereals). Then, I usually go for a run or a swim. I love all kinds of sports. It makes me feel alive and happy.

At 12 o'clock I come back home. My family have lunch together every Saturday. I have got a big family and we always have a good time together.

In the evening, I often read a book or go to the cinema with my wife. We usually have dinner at a restaurant.
As you can see, I love Sundays!.

Comenzamos a estudiar la conjugación de PRESENT SIMPLE:
- Si no recuerdas el presente del verbo ser, pincha aquí

- La mayoría del resto de los verbos siguen esta conjugación:
Forma Afirmativa (Suj + verbo) (En 3ª pers. sing., añadir -s al verbo)

* Reglas para añadir -s a la 3ª persona del singular en los verbos:
1. La mayoría de los verbos añaden una -s sin que haya cambios
work--works // live--lives
2. Los verbos acabados en -o, -ss, -ch, sh ó x, añaden -es
wash--washes // watch-watches // do--does
3. Los verbos acabados en consonante + y, cambian la -y por -i y añaden -es
study--studies
4. Los verbos acabados en vocal+y, añaden -s sin que haya ningún cambio.
buy-- buys
5. El verbo have en tercera persona del singular cambia a has

El verbo have también se puede conjugar sin la partícula "got" con el mismo significado.
En otras ocasiones, en combinación con otras palabras, have adquiere distintos significados.

  • Aprende algunas expresiones que en castellano se construyen con el verbo tener y, sin embargo, en inglés, se construyen con el verbo ser (to be):


    • Tener miedo: to be afraid - He is afraid of snakes
    • Tener X años: to be X years old - Peter is 34 years old
    • Tener hambre: to be hungry - I'm hungry.
    • Tener sed: to be thirsty - They are thirsty
    • Tener prisa: to be in a hurry - Mary is in a hurry

Inglés 1 Presencial - Lunes 5 de octubre

  • Aprende los determinantes demostrativos

  • Practica. Escribe this / these / that / those en estas frases
- (Lejos) ________ are my pencils
- (Cerca) I like _______ car
- (Lejos) _______ is my father
- (Cerca) I don't like ________ games 
  • Aprende el uso del artículo síngular (a / an)
- A se puede traducir por (un/una) y se usa cuando el nombre que le sigue empieza por consonante:
(Ejemplos:  a car, a boy, a girl)
Recuerda que la letra h en inglés se pronuncia, con lo cual se considera una consonante la mayoría de las veces (a hospital)
De la misma forma, algunas palabras que comienzan por u se considera que comienzan por consonante por motivos de pronunciacion. (Ejemplo a university - una universidad)

-An se puede traducir por (un/una y se usa cuando el nombre que le sigue empieza por vocal
(Ejemplos: an elephant, an orange, an apple)
Recuerda también el caso de "una hora" (an hour) - En este caso la h no se pronuncia por eso se considera que la palabra empieza por vocal
